OR

PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.

Snapdragon™ product support includes developing & delivering world-class documentation, customer training, design reviews, design examples and debugging.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ethernet PHY Application Engineer to join our HW application engineer team to support customer's design with Qualcomm-based solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the development, testing, and deployment of Ethernet PHY solutions utilizing Qualcomm technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of Ethernet PHY technologies and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product integration and customer satisfaction.

You will interface with cross-functional internal teams and global applications engineering teams to be responsible for

Qualcomm chipset documentation, provide end-to-end customer support ranging from customer training, development and commercialization support to mass production. We are looking for inquisitive, highly motivated team players with excellent communication skills and an understanding of ethernet PHY design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers in the implementation and troubleshooting of Ethernet PHY solutions based on Qualcomm technologies.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure the successful integration of Qualcomm Ethernet PHY components into products.
• Conduct testing and validation of Qualcomm Ethernet PHY solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and datasheets specific to Qualcomm solutions.
• Assist in the development of new Ethernet PHY products and features based on customer feedback and market trends.
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations to provide technical expertise and support for Qualcomm-based solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Qualcomm Ethernet PHY technology and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ethernet PHY technology and applications, with a focus on Qualcomm solutions.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet PHY protocols, standards, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, SPICE, or similar.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.
• Familiarity with network protocols and systems, including TCP/IP, UDP, and Ethernet 802.3
• Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware development.
• Experience with Qualcomm development tools and platforms.
