Qualcomm is taking its traditional strengths in digital wireless technologies into exciting new fields such as IoT、Automotive、Cloud AI and WoS. AI Application engineer’s role requires deep learning expertise to support OEMs to enable AI application on edge devices.

To join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with OEM/ODM to design & develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms.

Customer Engineers are expected to:

• Understand every aspect of customers' requirements and designs.
• To communicate with internal product & development teams on any HW/SW design related issues/features from customer designs
• To work with customers in resolving any feature development and product commercialization issues.

Responsibilities in this role shall include the following:

• Convert AI framework models such as Tensorflow、ONNX and PyTorch by Qualcomm AI SDK then deploy into edge devices
• Optimize AI modes inference performance and Debug accuracy drop issue after quantization
• Support OEMs to integrate/validate Python/C++/Java AI Application on edge device including APIs and pre/post-processing implementation
• Closely collaborate with software/system/research teams to debug Qualcomm AI SDK issues
• Clarify customer AI model deployment issue on Snapdragon device

【Minimum Qualifications】

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related field
• 5+ years experience with C/C++ and Python programming skills demonstrated through relevant industry experience
• 5+ years experience with using machine learning toolboxes (e.g., PyTorch and TensorFlow)
• 5+ years experience in Linux/Windows system and application programming.
• Knowledge of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Parallel Programming, and Machine Learning
• Experience in some practical Deep Learning models design, training, and publishment on commercial system (e.g., device or cloud)
• Outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Self-driven and able to deliver results in minimum supervision
• Windows/Linux/Android framework and system integration experience is plus

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
