Position

Reporting to the Aerospace Business Development Manager, the Sales Market Research Intern will provide guidance and support to engineers and the sales team. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication. The Sales Intern utilizes prior experience, current research, and creativity to develop ideal solutions to manufacturing and product needs. The Sales Intern will assist in the planning, research development, implementation, communication and maintenance of the company’s sales management systems, polices, documentation, data, and customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all HandyTube employees
  • Drive a culture that educates and promotes sales processes and responsibilities for all
  • Plans and conducts analysis, inspections, tests and integration of sales assurance into processes
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, market segments.
  • Collect and analyze data from CRM systems, surveys, customer score cards
  • Applies statistical process control methods to analyze data to make improvements to current processes
  • Identify potential customer segments and new business opportunities.
  • Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits
  • Prepare market analysis reports and presentations
  • Log and follow-up with supplier quality complaints
  • Maintain and update databases
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of supplier corrective/preventive actions
  • Performs other tasks assigned
  • Assisting with projects
  • Overall support of the sales operations team

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, data analytics, business, economics or related field
  • Must be in Junior or Senior year
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong academic background in marketing principles and applied research
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Able to understand the needs of the total organization- “Big Picture”
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
