We’re looking for passionate and brilliant engineers to be part of the global Engineering Support TMS (total maintenance service) team, based in Shanghai. This individual will continuously track our customer power plant operational status, timely provide technical recommendations to ensure stable operation, successful scheduled or forced outages.

How You’ll Make an Impact

This position will focus on support of Siemens Energy heavy duty gas turbines in the Region.

  • Serve as the primary contact point of Engineering for the large gas turbine service projects in addressing operational concerns, maintenance outage preparation and expedite outage execution
  • Coordinate and provide Engineering recommendations from across the functional global teams in support with the preparation of maintenance outages.
  • Take lead of clearing team composed of relevant Engineering experts to solve issues onsite, expedite outage execution and ensure information for RCA during forced outage in collaboration with Field Service and Project Management.
  • Provide technical support for regional Sales, Field Service and Marketing
  • Present technical solutions during internal and external meetings

As a regional service engineer you will be more of an all-rounder than a specialist but with the support from a worldwide network of specialists and experts as well as software systems you will learn something new with every question you answer.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplines. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge or experience in Gas Turbine technology and/or Steam Turbine technology
  • Fundamental understanding of turbo machinery equipment. Basic knowledge on material, manufacturing and repair technologies.
  • Good communication skills and experience in international working environment
  • German language or other Asian language (e.g. Korean, Japanese) is a plus.
  • Strong interest to increase the knowledge on technology and tools to achieve better results

About the Team

The team is consisted of different function set up of engineers in the region, including generator service support, BOP (balance of plant) support, PDS (power diagnostic service), gas turbine service support…each function is tightly integrated with HQ team in Germany or USA. By doing this, we have technical depth and customer intimacy, together we provide our professional technical solutions to our internal and external customers.
