The Equipment Development Engineering (EDE) team is dedicated to delivering innovative equipment solutions and manufacturing technologies that align with Industry 4.0 standards. Our comprehensive process encompasses design, development, qualification, and integration. We specialize in automated machinery, tooling (such as Slider Electrical Test Socket--SETS and Minideck--MD), and process development for component testing systems, including Slider Dynamic Electrical Test (SDET) and Component Evaluation Tool (ComET).

About the role - you will:

  • Create 3D and 2D drawings for component design.
  • Develop Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models using ANSYS Mechanical, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Dynamics.
  • Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other simulation tools for design optimization.
  • Release design-related documentation using EPDM, Windchill, and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
  • Conduct validation activities for new SETS design, including DVT, M1, and M2 phases, ensuring thorough documentation and validation with real parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful validation processes, including designing, planning and executing tests, analyzing results, and reporting findings.

About you:

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of 3 years of experience) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience with CAD/FEA software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS.
  • 1-3 years of experience utilizing statistical tools.
  • TOEIC score of 600 or higher.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, with a “can-do” attitude and an open mindset.

Your experience includes:

  • Mechanical design engineering.
  • Mechanical simulation knowledge in complex structures or component assembly.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), GD&T, FEA, and other simulation studies.
  • Experience working in TGA, HGA, Drive assembly, SDET, or ComET (preferred).
