Education required: Master's degree in Management Engineering or Chemistry or CTF. Qualification in a Commerce / Business / supply chain related discipline, logistics, supply management, demand management, operational management desirable.

Other requirements:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Italian
  • Highly numerate with knowledge of planning/scheduling systems
  • Time management and prioritization skills,
  • Ability to assimilate information from different sources to generate achievable plans
  • Good Communicator
  • Attention to detail with ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as flexible thinking.
  • Good relationship, team-working capabilities and stakeholder management

What will you do? 

  • To execute production plan (0-8 week Horizon) for manufacturing and packaging lines within a single site in the GSK Manufacturing network.
  • To monitor and define the capacity statement for production departments within a single site in the GSK Manufacturing network (0-24 months).
  • To run the Performance Management process for product cycle time for a single site within the GSK Manufacturing network.
  • To monitor, maintain and ensure complete data accuracy of all critical data related fields for their respective production lines
  • To ensure and monitor the respect of the scheduled plan according to all the supply needs.

What will you learn?

  • Execution of a production scheduled plan, maximizing the outcome and optimizing the details in order to hit the supply needs and the Site goals.
  • Maintenance of an accurate Open Order Book so systems can be used to identified when product shipments are scheduled to occur (if responsible for).
  • Accountable for the Conformance to schedule (CTS) for all Production work centers, and appointed in ensuring the product flow in order to hit the committed order book for our patients (putting in place the proper batch performance management).
  • Provision (to the relevant Supply Chain Planning Team) of daily/shift performance figures in relation to select work centers
  • Accommodation of the Production Scheduling requirements for non-standard activity (such as New Product Introduction or Artwork/Pack Change), whilst maintaining strict adherence to the FFRS methodology and intent.
  • Check for availability and approval of materials to ensure schedule is achievable. Compare stocks in the warehouse and stock due to arrive (if responsible for).

What are we looking for?

A broad knowledge of planning and scheduling theory and practice is important to do this role with excellence. This might be achieved via either experience or prior qualification.
