The Paris Tishman Speyer Design and Construction Team is looking for its next intern from January 2025.

Project: Tour CRISTAL, “THE CIRCLE”, in Paris 15th district, Paris, France.

About the project: THE CIRCLE is a full renovation project of an existing 90s tower exceptionally located in the center of the Beaugrenelle skyline, facing the Seine River. This is a full environmental renovation transforming the existing 27.000 sqm office tower to a brand new one with a new facade and new shape offering the office users new working conditions with comfort and specific unique services and inspiring spaces.

The works started in May 2023 and are dealt according to separate trades scheme. The completion date is planning by early 2026.

Responsibilities of the Design & Construction Role in Paris, France

Assisting the project Director in various daily tasks such as:

Technical following-up:

  • Participating in specific technical meetings, taking notes and following up by relaunching actions with contractors/consultants…
  • Building site monitoring on specific working zones
  • Dealing with specific tasks on site like organizing the sample room for example
  • Taking site pictures and specific reports
  • Assisting for specific site visits and preparing adequate documents if needed
  • Making sure that works progress indicators are well-followed (manpower on site, payments done…) and alerting when not.

Tender-process following-up:

  • Participating in finalizing design files in specific meetings
  • Participating in specific tender-process meetings
  • Preparing and updating tender-process reports and boards
  • Contractor candidates following-up

Financial following-up:

  • Collecting monthly batches of invoices and checking the contractual progress
  • Filling-up the payment board with updated and signed invoices

Contractual following-up:

  • Once the deal is done with consultants/contractors, preparing the corresponding contract/change order or command to be checked by the project Director

Insurance following-up:

  • Collecting and checking all requested administrative documents for insurance construction files
  • Collecting adequate documents for specific insurance opened subjects

Required Skills / Experience

The candidate will interact with colleagues throughout the organisation and therefore should be articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels, including senior management.

Required for the role is:

  • 3rd year in leading Engineering School in France
  • Strong knowledge in civil engineering and construction subjects
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Well-organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A minimum of 3 months of relevant work experience (internship) in real estate or construction companies
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Good team work player and ability to adapt to different environments.
  • Good listening skills and responsiveness.
  • Fluent French and English ability to understand and communicate, verbally and in writing in both, additional language is a plus.
