PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR II

Administers the logistical support for a University-wide program, which is often of a large and/or complex nature. May participate in developing program plans, objectives, and directives. May supervise support staff. Acts as a communication liaison with outside resources. Plans and carries out special projects related to the success of the program. Responsible for adherence to the program budget. May provide education and training to the UAB community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer logistical support for LHSA
  • May participate in developing program plans, objectives, and directives
  • Acts as a communication liaison with outside resources to educate, engage, and update the community (residents, businesses, churches, schools, etc.) regarding LHSA programs, initiatives, and activities, including in-person visits, calls, emails, and distribution of flyers, etc
  • May plan and carry out special projects related to the success of the program. - Participate in LHSA events (wellness, nutrition, fitness, education, etc.) to include set-up and break-down
  • This person will engage with event participants and serve as a liaison between the community and LHSA
  • Participate in community events in partnership with other local organizations to promote LHSA and distribute LHSA material
  • Maintain ongoing communication provide tracking and information with local and Birmingham teams
  • Maintain accurate reports of individuals contacted and supported by LHSA initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Hourly Range: $18.35-$29.80

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel in the community
  • Ability to develop reports regarding activity (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to answer questions about LHSA from community members and businesses
