TI’s High Voltage Power is an exciting group looking to productize smart power products in the market and demonstrate the significant performance benefits of TI’s technologies. We are a quick-moving group looking to leverage TI’s advantages to develop groundbreaking solutions. Our team is looking to extend TI’s technologies further to specify and develop products enabling new cutting-edge automotive and industrial applications.

Drivers and Bias product line is growing swiftly within a segment where the market is rapidly expanding. We’re searching for a Systems Engineer who has the passion and excitement to grow, innovative, take an active role in defining and implementing new product strategies to continue to drive the product line’s fast growth. This strategic role offers an exciting mix of technical and market centric responsibilities and challenges including 1) owning the roadmap for a family of gate drivers for MOSFET, IGBT, SiC or GaN used in a variety of end equipments including EV/HEV, solar/wind renewables, high density switch mode power supplies and motor drives 2) defining compelling new products and working with multi-discipline teams to realize and validate them, 3) ensuring new product success by planning/generating take-to-market collateral and drive adoption at top customers.

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Research and create new product definitions, including developing business case proposals, product family strategies and priorities, defining competitive specifications, lead silicon validation/verification and taking products to RTM.
  • Analyze key end-equipment care about in automotive, industrial, identify future trends and opportunities for improved performance, and add value to these systems with innovative and competitive solution, architect short and long term product strategy and roadmap.
  • Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customers
  • Lead/own cross-functional teams for silicon validation/verification and related documentation
  • Be the technical expert, responsible for product ramp up for the customer
  • Application support for newly introduced and existing products
  • Support and train applications engineering and sales organizations on new/existing products
  • Assist with generating the revenue plan for the organization
  • Create technical literature such as datasheets, critical application notes, spice models, etc.
  • Build relationships with customers/field teams by closely interacting with them to identify and solve system problems with TI silicon

Minimum requirements:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong technical background, with the ability to lead cross functional teams with right decisions/tradeoffs
  • Experience in application support for power products
  • Familiar with popular DC-DC topologies and experience with power converter or motor drive design
  • Familiarity with lab equipment with debugging experience in power products;
  • System level circuit modeling and design with EDA tools, e.g. SPICE, Simplis, Altium
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
