The engineering team in Apple’s cutting-edge PACE (Product Analysis & Certification Engineering) group is responsible for ensuring our products meet international Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless standards and regulations, but also exceed those requirements to befit Apple’s expectations. The PACE Senior Regulatory Engineering Project Manager (EPM) is a highly visible role with company-wide impact. You will be regularly leading reviews with cross functional VP’s on key upcoming standards and regulations impacting Apple’s business. To achieve this, you will drive alignment across the PACE Teams (Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless Teams) and key business partners (Legal, GA, Ops, Global Supply, and others) while ensuring the standards and regulations for each are up to date. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and senior managers to ensure our products meet the highest international and Apple-specified requirements. Additionally, we are looking to hire candidates with relevant regulatory program management experience in one or more of the following disciplines: AI/ML, Ecodesign, Product Environmental & Chemical Compliance, Biocompatibility, and Packaging Regulations.
You will drive Strategic Regulatory progress inclusive of tracking Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless standards/regulations and their impact to Apple’s business. You will develop, refine and uphold project schedules needed to ensure the continued development of our internal regulatory tracker. You will oversee issue and priority management efforts among Engineering Program Managers to drive data-driven decisions impacting product integrity, and ultimately Apple as a whole. You will be responsible for communicating and delivering briefings and updates to senior engineering management and executives to enable rapid decision-making within Apple’s product development life cycle. You will be working closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to develop plans to ensure compliance to required standards and regulations. You will manage key project management collaborative, tracking, and communications tools and systems; administer effective use of those systems to ensure established processes are followed. You will continually innovate in EPM process improvements and ensure the highest levels of project execution and rigor. You will support regulatory advocacy and engagements discussions (both internally and externally), influencing outcomes consistent with our priorities and strategies. You will create and collaborate to create strategies for regulatory delivery, advocacy, and principles working cross functionally across Apple and with key external partners or influencers.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
