Overview
The Simulation and Data Engineer II is responsible for developing, implementing, and automating advanced simulations and data analysis to support engineering projects. This role requires a creative mindset coupled with a deep understanding of engineering principles, as well as the computer programming and data analysis tools to model and predict the behavior of physical systems. You will focus on improving and automating our simulation processes, creating impactful presentations, while developing and manipulating data sets from both physical and virtual tests to drive product optimizations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3D simulations to support product design, development, and optimization.
- Automate simulation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in engineering workflows, with a focus on transforming existing practices to set new industry standards.
- Perform mathematical modeling of physical systems, utilizing both theoretical and empirical approaches to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Export and abstract data generated from simulations to inform design decisions and support multi-domain models and optimization studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and corporate leadership, to ensure technical deliverables align with project goals.
- Provide detailed documentation for simulations, models, data analysis, and automation processes.
- Communicate technical concepts and results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that technical milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
- Contribute to a dynamic and innovative team environment, helping to drive the evolution of our simulation and data analysis capabilities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline (Master’s or PhD is a plus).
- Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in computer programming, data analysis, 3D simulations, and mathematical modeling of physical systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience with automating simulation processes and data analysis workflows.
- Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Experience with advanced simulation tools and software.
- Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and/or finite element analysis (FEA).
- Experience in customer-facing roles, including technical support and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive improvements in engineering and automation processes.
