This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.
The NDSU Dickinson Research Extension Center (DREC) is seeking to hire a seasonal, temporary farming-machinery timeslip employee that will support and assist with ecological research in range ecosystems in the area of rangeland science management. This employee will work closely with the DREC range scientist and should be enthusiastic about natural resource conservation and management. General responsibilities will include assisting with vegetation and soil data collection which includes species composition, herbage production, plant density, soil moisture, soil nitrogen and carbon dioxide data. The employee will also be required to assist with the maintenance of research equipment and sites. Employee will be required to work in an outdoor environment under varying environmental conditions and occasionally travel to off station research locations. The approximate start/end date for this position would be May 16 through August 15 with the possibility of working fall hours.
This position is based in Dickinson, ND. Summer housing is available if needed.
Pay rate: $15.00 per hour (40+ hours per week) plus housing.
Minimum Qualifications:
The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Employee will be required to check in/out each day on the HCM employee self-service timeclock portal.
