As a System Integration Engineer in the Product Development Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet higher standards of performance as envisioned by Sonos. Your work will directly impact the development of next-generation products, from initial concept to final release. You will collaborate closely with experts in acoustics, mechanical engineering, electronics, system software, and RF and JDM cross team to bring our vision to life. you will be a key contributor for fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Working with global colleagues to comprehend Hardware NUDDs (New, Unique, Different, Difficult), PRD(Product Requirements Documentation), Usage Model and identify concrete Hardware Verification Strategy, 
  • Developing new verification methods, planning and assigning tests across US, Shanghai and JDM(Join Design Manufacture) partners.
  • Accountable for hardware verifications activities including but not limited to Color-Material-Finish, Package, Mechanical, Environmental operational, Signal Integrity, Audio, Power Supply, Boot, Thermal, Design Maturity, etc. by Managing, developing, executing at multiple sites. (Major at Asia)
  • Driving verification schedules, status, result, failure analysis, and corrective actions till issue closed independently or with global JIRA bug review meeting. 
  • Improve and implement automatic test methodology
  • Improve efficiency and optimize process of verification activities
  • Training PIE engineers and contract manufacturing engineers 

What You’ll Need:

  • BSEE, BSCS or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in product development or hardware verification.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Linux, Python) and signal processing techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
  • Fluency in Chinese and English (written and spoken).
  • A passion for learning and a drive to achieve results.
  • You do not have to be an expert in everything, but you are excited by challenges and take initiative to learn and collaborate with others. You do what it takes to get things done.

Nice to have: 

  • Experience of product hardware development, or hardware verification working with global teams and ODM/JDM/OEM.
  • Experience in Wireless communications, Audio and Acoustic Products.
