Key Responsibilities: - Assume pivotal role as the primary strategy business partner (BP) for the TikTok ecommerce business teams, leveraging data-driven insights to shape strategic agenda of business teams and fuel business growth. - Monitor on-going internal and competitive business trends in their area of responsibility; leverage both internal and external/syndicated data to perform in-depth internal and market analysis and competitive landscape benchmarking. - Synthesize internal and external research to formulate data-driven near-/medium-/long-term business recommendations, ensuring a forward-thinking and adaptive approach. - Support business teams on high priority business operations topics, especially breaking down GMV targets into demand and supply drivers. - Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies to influence business decisions/change and strategically improve operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement through targeted initiatives that address specific challenges. Specific responsibilities for various open-roles on the team: Category Business BP: - Spearhead studies across diverse categories such as Beauty, Fashion, Food, Pet & Electronics categories. Ensure a nuanced understanding of specific market dynamics and potential opportunities. - Conduct thorough market segmentation research, delving into the intricacies and value drivers of each business segment. - Ensure a thorough understanding of the industry landscape, including cross-category and category-specific competitors and key drivers of their business performance. Creator/Content/CAP/TSP BP: - Candidate should have experience in social commerce or ecommerce companies/projects; should be familiar with concepts such as traffic efficiency, user funnel, etc. - Curious about live commerce and keen to figure out a success model with operations teams; the candidate should be able to picture the implementation hurdles; any experience in consumer-facing operations would help. - Monitor the overall health of creator/content ecosystem and acquisition/retention/productivity trends throughout the creator/content funnel. Provide recommendations to improve creator/content quality and supply. - Understand the role that external creator and service provider agencies play in the social ecommerce ecosystem. Provide strategic viewpoint on how business teams can foster closer collaboration between merchants and creators. - Connect and prioritize creator/content strategies across broader TikTok / external social media landscape for the ecommerce business Shop Tab BP: - Evaluate merchandise data and compare pricing strategies with competitors to offer informed recommendations and guidance on assortment strategy. - Perform user behavior and cohort analysis to gain insights into targeted audience profiles and the value proposition of Shop Tab for TikTok users. - Develop forecasts for the future growth of Shop Tab and regularly assess performance and growth drivers during management meetings. - Experience in marketplace merchandising and pricing strategy is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications - 5 years experience of strategic and analytical experience at leading management consulting firm and/or tech/ecommerce companies. - Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities. - Experience in benchmarking, market research, competitor analysis, and GTM strategy. - Strong communication skills and can effectively handle cross-functional collaboration. - Strong ownership mentality and desire to work closely with business teams - take proactive initiative to identify business challenges, analyze problems, and autonomously develop and implement innovative solutions; demonstrate motivated self-starter attitude focused on continuous improvement.
