- Under supervision of the PI and collaborating faculty, assist with investigations of laminar turbulent transition of hypersonic boundary layers.
- Learn to perform literature reviews by keeping track of advances in the field.
- Under supervision, learn to use direct numerical simulations and linear stability theory.
- Under supervision of the PI, participate with co-authoring peer-reviewed conference papers, journal manuscripts, conference presentations, and posters.
- Communicate results through written in reports and discussion in group meetings.
- Follow standard operating procedures to support engineering functions of research projects and write technical reports (may involve some statistical analysis).
- Participate with presenting at conferences, symposiums, and other various events as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge with programming, such as using Matlab, Python, C, C++, etc.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and to handle assignments independently.
