What to Expect

We are seeking a highly skilled System Validation Engineer to join our team our Autopilot Hardware team in Palo Alto, CA. As a System Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the design and operation of our custom Dojo AI servers, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and manufacturing, to identify and resolve system-level issues. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, including hardware and software interactions. Verify that system components, such as servers, accelerators, switches, power supplies, and peripherals, operate correctly and meet specifications
  • Identify and debug functional issues, working with design and development teams to resolve problems
  • Develop and execute performance tests to validate system performance, including benchmarking and stress testing. Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to optimize system performance
  • Develop and execute power consumption tests to validate system power and thermal requirements and verify that system management features operate correctly
  • Identify and debug power-related issues, working with design and development teams to resolve problems
  • Develop and execute tests to validate system control and monitoring features, including sensors, actuators, and control algorit
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage and collaborate with test automation teams to integrate automated tests into the overall test strategy. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and manufacturing, to identify and resolve system-level issues and communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test reports, and validation reports and document test results, including data and analysis, to support system validation

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in system validation, testing, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, hardware, and software interactions
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Python, C++, or LabVIEW
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Expected Compensation

$120,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
