About the Team

The ChatGPT Core Experiences team supports the OpenAI mission by innovating and evolving the Core UX design, technical architecture, and essential features of the Web, iOS, and Android ChatGPT client experiences. We focus on horizontal improvements that strategically empower vertical product development across our organization, enabling the launch of industry-leading feature capabilities.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior software engineer to focus on building and maintaining core features across the iOS ChatGPT app. In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain key iOS client experiences by working closely with product, design, and research teams to ship intuitive, impactful features that improve the user experience and align with the broader ChatGPT product vision.
• Drive foundational improvements for the iOS app, including performance enhancements, E2E testing frameworks, architectural improvements, and integrations with key platform features.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to act as the cohesive force across ChatGPT’s iOS client, ensuring the smooth delivery of core features and foundational improvements across teams.
• Prioritize quality through a focus on performance, latency, reliability, and user satisfaction, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for ChatGPT iOS users.

In this role, you will:

• Build and ship new experiences that push the boundaries of research and product innovation to create a useful, delightful AI assistant in every user’s pocket
• Plan and deploy mobile platform infrastructure necessary to build, test, and deploy these product experiences.
• Execute on projects by working closely with research, product, design, data science and other members of product teams to land impact on product goals
• Create a diverse and inclusive culture that makes all feel welcome while enabling radical candor and the challenging of group-think.
