About the Team

As part of ByteDance's Security Department, Security BP team is not only responsible for the security and risk management of the ByteDance business lines , but also plays an important role in connecting and building trust between the business and security team. Leveraging on various capabilities provided by the Security Department, we ensure the business and customer data are secured by providing high-quality services to all business lines, such as platform security, product security, business security and compliance governance.

Job Responsibilities

• In charge of designing and implementing the security architecture for business lines, including but not limited to network security, application security, data security, and business security;
• Hold a sensitive awareness in both business and security point of view, apply agile methods to identify and remediate security risks;
• Embed security principles into the design of system architectures to mitigate the risks posed by new technologies and business practices.
• Lead efforts to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability management. Translating security architecture into security solutions
• Design and deploy secure cloud solutions, leveraging best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and AI architecture
• Mentor and guide security team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's (Master's Degree preferred) degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is usually required.

2. Strong and broad understanding of security knowledge, proficient in at least 1 domain of application security, data security, network security and threat intelligence.

3. Strong understanding of Secure SDLC with best practice in industry

4. Have a deep understanding of enterprise security construction, and understand security architecture such as situational awareness, adaptive security, zero trust, and threat intelligence

5. Excellent team-working skills are needed.

6. Possessing a good sense of initiative and responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

1. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, Go, Bash, C/C++, shell; Having excellent debugging skills;

2. Practical experience in business security and experience in successfully building a security system are preferred;

3. Broad knowledge of all security domains, continuously track and learn from industry-leading products and concepts;

4. Previous successful working experience through different time zones is a plus.
