The Bioinformatics Analyst works with research staff to extend capabilities in bioinformatics and improve understanding of genetic variation in human health and disease. The Bioinformatics Analyst maintains and
performs analysis with existing pipelines while assisting and benchmarking the development of novel methods.

The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center & the Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology are actively
seeking a full-time Bioinformatics / Cheminformatics Analyst to work on the UHealth campus in Downtown Miami. At
Sylvester, we are at the cutting edge of healthcare innovation, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to
transform drug discovery and development. Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of therapeutic solutions to patients
through state-of-the-art technology and groundbreaking research. The Analyst will leverage expertise in computational
chemistry, bioinformatics, and AI to process and analyze large-scale biomedical, small molecule bioactivity, structural
biology, image, and clinicogenomic datasets, integrating them with the Sylvester Data Portal. The successful candidate
will work within an interdisciplinary team of research scientists, data engineers, and full-stack developers, using
state-of-the-art software development practices to enhance the university’s research activities.
