The UC San Diego Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering is seeking temporary, non-tenure track Lecturers (Unit 18). Unit 18 Lecturers are governed by the Memorandum of Understanding (https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/labor/bargaining-units/ix/contract.html).
We seek applicants in all content areas such as, aerospace, controls, design, environmental, fluid mechanics, information storage, mechanics & materials, robotics, biomedical, biomaterial, medical devices, combustion, plasma and fusion, and renewables to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.

Additional responsibilities of the Unit 18 Lecturer will include:
Grading: Lecturers are responsible for turning in grades and other student records by the assigned due date.
Feedback: Lecturers should provide constructive feedback to students. They may also advise students on academic matters.
Other responsibilities: Lecturers may be required to supervise teaching assistants, keep office hours, and respond to inquiries from students, departments, and other university personnel. They may also be asked to guide senior students in their independent study research.
