Senior Software Development Engineer In Test

We're looking for an Senior Software Development Engineer In Test candidate with experience in testing and automation framework, REST API/Java and cloud-based applications to join our team in Bangalore Location/Hybrid.

You will report to the Senior Manager, QA Engineering

You will work on a broad spectrum of technologies including the latest and new technologies in the Cloud Data space. You will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test frameworks, and programmes to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools using Java to increase productivity and efficiency. You will play a key role in product delivery with high quality and lead customer success through R&D level support and related engagements. 

Technology You'll Use

Core Java, Rest-based APIs Testing, Cloud-based applications (AWS/Azure/GCP), Automation framework.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Design and develop test frameworks, automate tests in JAVA and maintain existing internal QA tools
• Design test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications focusing on specific user stories including test cases for regression of current products
• Participate in an Agile-based development / testing environment, including reviews, testcases/document reviews and planning activities
• Participate in functional, system, stress, longevity and regression testing activities
• Implement test cases/suites in using tools like TestNG and JUnit
• Good hands-on with Linux/Unix Operating System
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Work with the development team to analyse the bugs
• Collaborate with engineers to solve complex problems to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience
• Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues
• Work with the engineering team in an Agile environment in delivering high quality products
• Organise own tasks and take responsibility for progress and completion

What We'd Like to See

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA. in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline
• 3 or more years of experience in software testing and automation framework development
• Experience with different test automation techniques and developing stable and efficient automation frameworks
• Good hands-on with Linux/Unix Operating System and Scripting
• Experience with REST-based APIs testing, Java and cloud-based applications
• Working knowledge of JAVA application servers including Tomcat
• Familiarity with functional and non-functional software requirements
• Experience with open-source technologies and knowledge on tools like Rest assured, Java, TestNG, JMeter, Jenkin, and Selenium
• Knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of Unix and Windows OS
• Experience with Cloud e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI ecosystem
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containers
• Exposure to Java environments and microservices.
• Familiar with Agile development lifecycle and practices- CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
