- For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants and CTA’s:
- 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) - MA
- 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) - MA
- Up to $2,500 sign on bonus for Clinical Team Assistants
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

- The Medical Assistant position at this fast-paced clinic offers the opportunity to join a close and supportive team. This practice offers medical care, social work, and basic support for patients experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. This position involves a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The medical assistant at the Learning Collaborative primarily supports the providers by escorting patients to examination rooms, taking vital signs, performing point-of-care testing and phlebotomy, and managing the stocking and ordering of supplies. Experience or a willingness to learn de-escalation techniques, along with a background in social work or mental health and knowledge of substance abuse, would be beneficial.
- The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.
- Position Summary – Medical Assistant
- The Medical Assistant (MA) is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant II functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required. An NH Med Tech License is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required.

- Position Summary – Clinical Team Assistant
- This position is responsible for performing daily patient service functions to support the clinical team in the delivery of patient care.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – Clinical Team Assistant
- Education: Graduate of an accredited vocational program, community college or university in the field of health sciences. Program curriculum must include patient facing experience.
- License/Certifications: Current BLS required or must be obtained within 3 months from start of employment.
- Experience: N/A
- Ability to excel in a team-based care environment.
- Working knowledge of continuous process improvement.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
- Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
- Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations
- Analytical ability required to gather and interpret information necessary to resolve problems.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
