The Role

NI Enterprise Software team is looking for an Senior Application engineer on deliver value through big data analytics to semiconductor customers. The role is truly an individual contributor, a high degree of customer interaction and teamwork is required to be effective in the role. You will be responsible for working closely with customers, sales and internal teams to ensure the value delivery EWS solutions to customer and optimizing the use of tools for the customer, with validation of new feature.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with manufacturing processes, have experience with using analytics to solve problems at the product or process level and is comfortable interacting with engineers through senior management to make complex concepts relatable.

As a senior application engineer, you must have a solid understanding with manufacturing processes for critical aspects of yield, quality, reliability, and operation efficiency throughput high-volume manufacturing environment. This role involved with demo to initiate upsell or new leads and do pilot to win the deal by solid ROI providing and act as the focal point for escalations by customers which are assigned to him as such he centralizes and prioritizes those requests and deliver timely solutions

Job Responsibilities

• Become expert user of NI's Enterprise software applications 
• Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of NI OptimalPlus software applications to effectively support NI OptimalPlus customers.
• Responsible for ROI summary reports for assigned account.
• Scope a technical solution that will help customers realize significant business value in their engineering and high-volume manufacturing using Optimal+ solutions.
• Enable customer specific customizations requiring advanced scripting and programming techniques.
• Develop rules (using OT-Rules, an expert rules-based engine) that will insure the improved operational efficiency of the customer’s distributed test operations.
• Work with NI OptimalPlus Product Management, Sales and Marketing to understand and define customer enhancement requirements, or troubleshoot incorrect product or process behavior using data analysis, system log files, application knowledges to setup improvement plan or get bug fixing and validate new fixes/version once released. 
• Provide customer training and product demonstrations, meet customer face-to-face
• Clearly document troubleshooting processes, technical findings, and customized solution to capture and re-use knowledge.
• Identify opportunities, as a result of real production observations, for improved yield, quality, reliability and operational efficiency and articulating those opportunities to the customer.
• Enjoy high complexity tasks which required knowledge of technical and business trade-offs, mastering new skills and prioritizing multiple competing projects.
• Involve on defining priorities for his account (day to day support, new functionalities, training, up sale activities)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience at semiconductor companies on Yield/Product/Test aspects
• Experience and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and test operations, and use of data analytics and/or business intelligence applications in test operations, yield, efficiency, quality and familiar with NPI/HVM challenges with product characterization or PE experience
• Experience in a customer facing role in either applications or customer technical support
• Independent learning, self motivated, desired to win, analytical personality
• Working knowledge using online tools to troubleshoot software and hardware interoperability problems
• Strong knowledge of R/Java/JavaScript/Python or equivalent programming languages
• Proficiency in multiple data file formats but no limited to XML, JMP, CSV
• Excellent and efficient communication skills in Chinese and English
• Ability to learn and work independently in a multicultural environment
• Accountable, responsive, independent, and focused on successfully deliverable
• Able to travel as much as 30%
• Knowledge of and use of enterprise data analytics and/or enterprise business intelligence applications in achieving business value
• Familiar with test platform especially TP development and debug incl. Advantest, Teradyne, NI
