Senior Wet Utilities Design Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide critical contributions towards timely and efficient production of quality designs.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Apply advanced engineering principles to analysis
- Prepare complex analytical models without supervision
- Develop more complex plans and profiles with limited supervision
- Produce clear and well-organized design calculations and guides junior staff
- Check design deliverables from equal or less experienced Engineers
- Regularly provide technical guidance to engineers and Designer. Ability to mentor and teach engineers and designers.
- Guide Digital staff with standard plan and profile design
- Regularly interface with clients and other departments on matters relating to work assignments.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master Degree or higher preferred) in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years related experience
- Professional Engineer registration required(PE, Peng or CEng)
- Proficient in utilizing most engineering principles, techniques, and analyses to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments within civil engineering
- Proficient with conventional engineering software and understands how engineering principles are applied in the software
- Digitally proficient
- Proficient with setup and requirements for standard design plans and profiles.
- Proficiency with standard detailing practices. Competency in non-standard detailing
- Draft special provisions with oversight
- Draft design reports with oversight
- Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures
- Track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule.
- Understand duration for each assigned task and provides input to the task lead for the develop baseline design schedule at the start of any task
- Contribute as a productive and efficient team member to meet project deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively communicate with client, management, and project personnel on technical and non-technical subjects.

- Provide input for design estimates for projects
- Track hours per task/sheet in design deliverables
- Understanding of duration and level of effort for each task
- Potential to perform in a leadership capacity
