Machine Operator $18-$20/HR

Located in Appleton, WI
Salary: $18-$20/HR
Hours: Monday- Friday 7am-4:30pm
Pay: $18-$20/HR
Duties:
- Train on all saws and cutting equipment.
- Meet production standards on each machine trained on.
- Set up saws and machines properly while following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
- Build and cut pallet components.
- Sort and inspect pallet components.
- Inspect and operate machines.
- Operate all pallet manufacturing facility tools (saws, nail guns, pallet jacks, hand tools) and equipment in a safe manner.
- Sort and stack pallets according to customers' requirements.
- Keep a daily log of work done to turn in to the shift supervisor at the end of each shift.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Clean up the work area during and at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects that weigh 50 pounds or less.
- Must be able to sit, walk, bend, and twist for long periods throughout the day.
- Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred.
- Prior experience working with wood is preferred.
