The Role
As the International Wholesale Accounting Analyst you will sit within our Label & New Business Finance Team. The role will be a good mix of financial analysis, management accounts & Business Partnering. You will be immersed in the profit of our international wholesale and franchise sales. Understanding the partner profitability and opportunities to improve it will be key in driving the division forward.
Accountabilities
- Consolidation of Wholesale, Franchise and License P&L’s which fall under the International Wholesale Directors remit. Assess the partner level profitability analysis, with regular updates throughout the year, identifying any areas which require improvement.
- Work with Finance business teams to ensure the costs are allocated to the partners correctly
- Support the Finance Manager in creating P&L appraisals for potential new partners and ensure new launches are in line with expectations
- Prepare analysis of sales and profit for annual reporting to external audiences
- Support the Finance Manager in the development of budgets and forecasts for International Wholesale and Franchise partners.
Main Tasks
- Working closely with other teams you will be required to assess and understand all of the costs associated with Wholesale and Franchise partners and assess their profitabilities
- Work with the New Business Finance Manager and finance teams to ensure coordinated approach to budgeting, forecasting and actual costs
- Review of the Partner detail P&L’s to ensure accurate allocation of costs
- Prepare a consolidated view of all partner P&L’s which fall under the International Wholesale Director and highlight the key drivers of performance.
Behaviours & Key Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in a Finance or Analytical role
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or Part qualified
- Experience in Financial modelling preferential
- Strong Excel Skills
- Able to prepare schedules for review with senior leadership team both within Finance and the wider business
- Self starter and able to manage own workload
- Work accurately with high attention to detail
