Overview

IDG group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the variable compensation team by developing models for plan calculations and future-focused forecasting and analysis. This individual will leverage strong analytical skills to ensure accurate calculation of payouts and projection of costs, contributing to the overall success of the variable compensation implementation program.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining models to calculate variable compensation payouts for sales, research, and corporate teams.
  • Developing models to streamline administration processes, including reporting and pay statement generation.
  • Validating and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and consistency in payout calculations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data and input for model development and refinement.
  • Assisting in the development of future-focused forecasting models to project variable compensation costs and analyzing potential scenarios.
  • Providing support and expertise in Excel functionality and best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payout calculations.
  • Participating in ongoing process improvement initiatives to streamline data collection, validation, and analysis.
  • Supporting future state automation and implementation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and modeling techniques.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in data analysis and calculations.
  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation modelling a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in compensation analysis or financial modeling is preferred.
