Divisional Controller

Perform various accounting functions and supervise accounting staff.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Accounting Manager, AP Manager, Accountants, and Restaurant staff with accounting issues.
  • Resolve personnel issues.
  • Perform annual reviews.
  • Interview accountant candidates.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Review Income Statements. Respond to Analysts/Operations questions.
  • Review various Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Provide accounting support to Operations.
  • Act as liaison between accounting department and other departments within the company.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors for stand-alone audits as needed.
  • Evaluate invoices for capitalization purposes.
  • Input various journal entries.
  • Ensure 1099’s, 1096’s, and 8027's are prepared properly and timely as required by the assignment.
  • Assist and gather information for various audits.
  • Attend operation conference calls.
  • Verify and sign checks.
  • Projects as necessary.
  • Accounting for international units – dependent on concept.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical accounting skills.
  • Must have outstanding leadership, supervisory, and training skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Hands-on self-starter, and have the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills
