WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Initial Examination Performs and documents an initial assessment, compiling and evaluating data to identify deficits and establish baselines. Tests and measurements may include a range of motion, strength, sensation, functional status, balance, motor planning/development.
- Patient Program Adjustments Periodically re-evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes necessary adjustments to program components to maximize functional outcome.
- Treatment Plan Development Develops a treatment plan to address areas of concern and establishes functional goals.
- Patient Medical Assessment Reviews referring diagnosis and medical history. Identifies the patient's primary complaint and desired outcome or expectation with physical therapy.
- Patient Records Regular observation and documentation of patient tolerance and responses to treatment in Electronic Health Record.
- Patient Education Instructs and educates patients and families of appropriate exercise and self-care management which may include injury prevention, ergonomics or ways to promote one's health.
- Physical Therapy Techniques Implements components of the care plan utilizing clinical techniques, physical agents and amassed skill to provide treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Bachelor's Degree
- Required Doctorate
- Physical Therapist (PT) - .
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
