The mission of this role:

Organize, lead, and coordinate the associated MDO (mechanical, display and optic) engineering activities during the development and the delivery phases of Visteon products, in line with the agreed Cost, Quality and Timing commitments.

Key Objectives of this Role: 

  • Manage the MDO project deliverables, timing, and budget;
  • Identify technical or other issues and drive these to closure by bringing together key stakeholders for decision-making;
  • Cross-functional communication and organizational activities between project teams, customers and suppliers;
  • Responsible for the mechanical design related customer requirements, implementation and product validation;
  • Regular project reporting and metrics;
  • Management, inspection and approval of engineering samples;
  • Engineering validation tests planning, support and analysis;
  • Manage MDO related changes for the project;
  • Interface to Apps eng. and project team;
  • Supports the customer communication;
  • Leads supplier communication;
  • Audits (internal, external and customer) support;
  • Process compliance.

Qualification, Experience and Skills: 

  • Master’s Degree in the field of mechanical engineering, or related;
  • Project, Change and Risk management;
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural global organization;
  • Excellent organizational and delegation skills with ability to own the product roadmap and schedule, with a track record of delivering projects on-time;
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Able to comfortably manage multiple tasks and assignments;
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (MS Project will be considered as an advantage);
  • Experience in display products design will be considered as an advantage;
  • Experience in the automotive industry will be considered as an advantage;
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
