Blackbaud is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our organization. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations. A successful candidate would be a self-motivated and experienced accountant with a constant drive for process improvement. Interest in developing detailed knowledge/ownership in systems (Workday, Blackline, Hyperion) is critical to success in this role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for key areas during Corporate Accounting’s monthly close accounting operations including but not limited to fixed assets, leases, cloud computing arrangements, tax accounting support.
  • Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations in Blackline.
  • Prepare flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Perform accounting and reporting-related SOX controls.
  • Work with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance with quarterly and annual audit requirements.
  • Create and review standard operating procedures for accounting processes and tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and identify areas for improvement.

What we'll want you to have:

  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience; Big 4 IT audit experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, driven to continuously strive for excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate in both team and matrixed environments.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work amongst multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • CPA license or must be CPA candidate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

The starting base pay is $61,000.00 to $77,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
