Job Description Summary

Within Grid Solutions, the Grid Systems Integration (GSI) Business Line, is accountable for the sales, project execution and services of high voltage Alternative & Direct Current complete solutions (~2,700 employees).

Typical project values range from a couple of hundreds of thousand dollars, up to the billion-dollar range. GSI is structured around Regions (with full P&L responsibility), competency centers and central functions.

The GSI North and South Europe HR Leader will drive the Regional HR strategy and execute key HR initiatives, provide employee support and drive HR functional excellence and process improvements in the areas with most intense financial and resourcing growth.

The successful candidate will lead a significant growth in the coming years in close partnership with the GSI North and South Europe Regional Leader as well as with the technology and manufacturing centers. Additionally, you will drive country-wide UK HR coordination´s activities at Grid Solutions level.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior HR leadership to a highly complex and multi-segment Region with multiple executive stakeholders that encompass Region P&L, two competency centers and two manufacturing sites (over 800 employees).
  • Specifically, drive the significant resourcing ramp-up foreseen across the segments, in close partnership with Talent Acquisition and functional leader departments.
  • Lead a team of 4-5 HR professionals for the full scope as well as coordinate the HR teams based in the UK across Grid Solutions to ensure an aligned HR strategy and guidance, incl. labour relations and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as an organisational champion who builds organisational capabilities, reduces complexity and ensures a high performance culture.
  • Build a robust and long-term talent pipeline, with clear competency improvement.
  • Lead leadership assessments, identifying key employee strengths and development needs in order to recognise, select, retain and develop key talent.
  • Provide HR team with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development opportunities including exposure to HR Business Partner skills and experiences.
  • Develop and oversee strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain exceptional and diverse talent.
  • Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and contemporary work environment

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a university degree or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Senior leadership and strong business acumen as well as influential presence.
  • Demonstrated / extensive years of professional work in the Human Resources function with senior HR Generalist responsibilities and team management.
  • Ability to manage large (800+) and complex multi-country and multi-functional populations, with experience in both manufacturing and engineering / R&D environments.
  • Exceptional knowledge of UK labor laws and government requirements.
