As MS Sales Development Specialist, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters’ products and services. You will demonstrates a clear grasp of understanding the customers’ business and its growth plans, as well as be able to take the knowledge and convert that into a solution and offering from Waters, with a primary aim of bringing “customer success”. This position brings you a great degree of flexibility working in the field. Your role will be designated to either a territory and/or markets.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing business plans, territory plans, reports, tender documents and relevant product solution documents for customers;
  • Planning, and executing the customer demonstrations with collaboration of the demo lab specialists;
  • Collaborating, liaising and providing guidance and support across departments to ensure customer success. You will be working closely with all other groups at Waters (e.g. Instrument Sales, Chemistry Operation and Informatics etc.);
  • Responsible for directly selling Waters range of Mass Spectrometer instruments,
  • Will also be responsible for any assignment entrusted from time to time Pre sales technical discussion, evaluate customer requirement & suggest the suitable solution, competitive positioning, sales lead qualification to closure, etc.
  • Presentation of Waters LC-MS Products & application solutions to customers and marketing events etc for different market segments like Pharma, Biopharma, Chemical materials, BMR, Academics etc,
  • Application support, customer education on proper utilization of equipment's and developing new market in region, Technical marketing and Attendance at conferences and trade shows.
  • Keep current on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and competitive information,
  • Presentation of courses and seminars on MS area and related topics.
  • Support sales team for system configuration definition
  • Adhering to Waters and customers relevant Health, Safety and Environment requirements when on site and as an individual employee;
  • Using and updating the Compss (Salesforce) on a daily basis to ensure accurate forecasting;
  • Partner with other Mass Spectrometry Team Members, the Sales team and distributors in order to assist throughout the sales process

Qualifications

ducation:

  • Degree /Master/PhD in scientific areas such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry or a related field of science

Experience:

  • Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience, ideally in LC-MS.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling and application knowledge on Mass Spectrometry systems. Additional experience with UPLC, HPLC, field sales and/or marketing is a plus
  • Experience in a laboratory, with a background in chromatography and mass spectrometry;
  • Exposure within relevant field/industry;
  • Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
  • Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment

  • Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS

Travel:

  • This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training.
