This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to develop, enhance and support relationships with our key airline customers in the distribution industry. This position will be reporting into the Regional Director, EMEA and will be responsible for developing strong and collaborative relationships with some key airline customers in this region. In this role, you will work closely with the other regional Account Directors and Technical Account Managers and the Agency Account Management teams.

General description:

  • Meeting with airline customers to understand their strategy, business needs and objectives and matching those to Sabre products and services distribution related.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, become a trusted advisor and a strategic partner.
  • Develop and continuously update the Account Plans for key customers.
  • Work closely with the Travel Solutions (TS) Account Directors on identifying IT solution opportunities and with the Agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to the customers.
  • Prepare/hold periodic business review meetings as defined by the Regional Director.
  • Use complex data to understand and advise customers on the performance of their sales via the Sabre channel.
  • Coordinate across different channels: marketing, agency sales and operations teams to drive customers’ performance.
  • Negotiate contract terms for new contracts and contract renewals; optimize commercial agreements to improve the distribution product set adopted by the airlines and drive new commercial initiatives to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Coordinate with various functional teams within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner while operating within broader latitude for decisions and actions.
  • This position has the authority to substantially affect the relationship between the company and a customer, both from a financial or product standpoint.
  • This role is recognized as an expert by internal and external peers. Provide account management services to new clients during campaign planning and implementation. 

Job requirements:

  • Educated to BSc degree or equivalent level.
  • Three years of relevant experience is a must.
  • Possess domain experience in the air sector, with a focus on distribution and sales strategy.
  • Proven track record of successful client service across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Excellent English oral and written skills and a commitment to ensuring stakeholders are always advised of project status versus deliverable timetables.
  • Extensive commercial experience working in a fast paced, matrixed organization
  • Advanced internal and external customer relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple initiatives and activities.
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated.
