Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is the engine that powers our cloud services. Our data center construction team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality data centers for our cloud services. As we continue to revolutionize the way construction projects are planned, managed, and executed, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our diverse and inclusive team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the high standard and reliability of our product.
As part of the regional Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Execution Oversight Team (EOT), the key responsibilities are to work cross functionally with other Execution Oversight Team (EOT) members to provide oversight on the consistent implementation of the project SLA and functional governance, perform project health analysis against the approved SLAs/scope/execution plan/cost/schedule, assist with the project setup, evaluate the site resource effectiveness, conduct spot audits, assist with onboarding and training of the site-based team. Team will be dedicated to this scope and will not be assigned to specific projects or other functional/regional activities. The project reviews and assessment will be as per the Execution Oversight Team (EOT) team roadmap and/or managed by exception should a critical priority is raised within the region. Team will be based in hub location and will travel together to the site as per the roadmap and business critical priorities. 25-50% work from home and 50-75% expected travel.
As a Construction Lead on the Data Center Delivery Execution Oversight Team (EOT) Team, you will be an experienced Construction manager with well-rounded experience of delivering projects. Your focus will be Construction management while upholding the company values of safety, quality, schedule, contractual obligations and cost in challenging project environments.
