The Tax Manager is responsible for managing and supporting the Weir Minerals Indonesia business and achieving set objectives through advising on tax policy and ensuring all tax compliance activities are correctly completed and lodged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring income tax and benefits tax liabilities are satisfied in an optimal manner, whilst also ensuring all legislation requirements are adhered to.
  • Managing and coordinating various tax audits through gathering and providing relevant documentation.
  • Ensuring the company’s VAT requirements are satisfied in an optimal manner, whilst ensuring all legislation requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensuring appropriate WHT payments are withheld and reported to the Indonesian tax authorities.
  • All legislation changes are understood and followed.
  • Effectively managing a small team, ensuring responsibilities are met and performance is in line with expectations.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Taxation, or similar field. CA, CPA, or equivalent. Hold Brevet A, B & C certificate.
  • Five (5) years or more experience in corporate taxation. 
  • Commercial astuteness, ability to work with all sections of the company and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, a committed and proactive attitude towards Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite, SAP knowledge.
