Senior Payroll Accountant

For our newly opened Service Delivery Center for Finance Operations we are looking for Payroll Specialist.

In the role as a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will contribute to our purpose of bringing people closer.

In this role, responsibilities include ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing in adherence to government regulations, managing workflow for precise transaction processing, and conducting reconciliations and audits. The position involves maintaining strong relationships with multiple payroll vendors and actively identifying and implementing risk and opportunity strategies.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates and perform manual checks as required
  • Load import files received from HR / Workday
  • Maintain leave accruals
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
  • Perform month-close related activities
  • Reconcile monthly payroll register with books of accounts
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits and overseas/expatriate allowances within geography of responsibility
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Creating and documenting processes and procedures
  • Provide inputs to Head AP and AP Manager during identification of process improvement opportunities aligned with direct leaders

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you have

  • A master’s degree within finance, business or similar.
  • Couple years of experience working with payroll function across several geographies
  • Experience in working within multinational or GBS/ SSC organizations
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • You are a team player
  • You have a knowledge and experience of ERP systems (preferably D365)
  • You are fluent in English (other languages are welcomed)
