You will actively and successfully manage the end-to-end sales process; sourcing new customers, scoping customer requirements, providing unique solutions and customer quotes and liaising with the relevant departments to ensure successful delivery.
You will be primarily working in B2B but with some B2C sales (e.g. online sales) ensuring that agreed targets and incoming revenue is met. Develop new applications and user cases with key partners and customers
You will be responsible for APAC countries/areas.
Main Tasks:
You will be responsible for selling BASF’s entire Additive Manufacturing material portfolio including PBF(powder), AES(filament), metal AES, LFS(photopolymers), as well as BASF’s value adding AM service solutions.
You will negotiate contract prices and conditions and prepare both quotations and project plans.
In cooperation with the technical teams of the business lines, you will be responsible for the application development of specific technical solutions as well as project management and controlling.
You will acquire new customers, identify new target groups and develop a sales strategy for the right approach to customers. In addition, you will develop and implement new customer solutions while observing the market.
Ensuring proper communication with BASF worldwide, KAM organization regarding new applications and potential customers in all BASF subsidiary companies
Participating trade fairs, customer events, customer presentations and if necessary training courses
Using Salesforce as the leading tool for sales management and report generation
Experience in dealing with customers to translate their requirements into material specifications
Logical thinker who can recognize opportunities for creating new business sales and improving customer services;
Determination and performance-oriented to be able to act entrepreneurially
At least two years’ experience of selling within a technical sector to businesses and end user consumers;
A demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets;
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
A can-do attitude to the workplace;
The ability to work as part of the team and develop good working relationships at all levels within the organization;
Proven tracked record in sales and a thorough understanding of the sales process;
A general technical understanding of 3D printing/additive manufacturing is a plus
Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system
Familiar with common IT standard applications, e.g. MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
Fluent English
Numerate with good organizational and prioritization skills;
