The Role

At Umbo Computer Vision, the QA Team is a fast-paced team with a high amount of co-working and knowledge sharing while in a fun friendly environment.

You will get to play with cutting edge software and try to break them as you go against top-notch developers.

This position is highly technical and the ability to program quickly is an absolute must!

What You'll Do

• Manual and Automation testing on web and mobile applications, embedded Linux hardware, and CV in a Cloud environment
• Writing scripts to perform tests and quality checks
• Writing, updating, porting, and maintaining tools and queries to assist the Engineers
• Test plan creation, execution, and documentation
• Bugfix verification
• Occasional assistance to Development, Infrastructure and FAE teams depending upon coding skill level
• Demo setup and assistance in presentations
• Occasional assistance in working on FAE tickets and customer emergency issues
• Write SOPs to assist in Infrastructure related items
• Assist on onboarding others

What We're Looking For

• Some knowledge of Frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), or Backend (GoLang, C, C++, Java), or scripting (languages like Python).
• Loves to think like a customer/end user and attention to detail.
• Product oriented mindset
• Enthusiastic to read, speak, and write English.
• Willing to program and work with databases in a Unix environment (at least 50%).
• A good artistic eye
• Likes to teach

Nice To Haves

• Interested in working in a startup environment.
• Knowledge in infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ElasticSearch
• Love puzzles and challenges.
• Interested in breaking things (and hacking).
• Interested in programming languages or anything Computer Science related.
• Perform English to Chinese translations for Umbo software products
• Interested in improving your English skills.
• Interested in Linux.
