Team Introduction:

The TikTok Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Tax Associate to support its rapid business growth. This position will be based in Jakarta. The ideal candidate has experience in compliance and possesses strong tax technical skills in order to work seamlessly together with colleagues in cross-functions (e.g. legal, finance and etc) to support our business teams to develop comprehensive and practical tax solutions.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for our company, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. Senior Tax Associate will play a crucial role in optimizing tax strategies while maintaining compliance with tax requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage to ensure all tax returns are accurately and timely filed in compliance with the applicable tax laws and regulations in this region.
• Collaborate process improvements and tax optimization initiatives with focus on tax technology.
• Develop tax strategies and ensure that the company is operating in a tax-efficient manner in the region.
• Provide tax advice across various product lines and jurisdictions in developing and implementing comprehensive and practical tax solutions.
• Manage tax inquiries and tax audits raised by the tax authorities.
• Respond to internal and external tax inquiries and assist business partners with timely tax advice.
• Monitor the change and update of tax legislation and assess the impact on business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified chartered accountant or tax consultant with tax related working experience.
• Bachelor degree or above.
• Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals.
• Ability to lead complex projects working effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant tax experience in MNC, public accounting firm or reputable law firm is preferred.
• Self-motivated and have strong ownership of the projects with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills.
