The Senior Audit Manager role is critical to making this happen by managing audit projects of large scale or high complexity, in line with ANZ’s annual audit plan, reviewing specific business areas and assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of the risk controls in place.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Drive assurance reviews for ANZ’s New Zealand Technology portfolio.
  • Manage the appropriate and timely assessment of the risks and controls across the Bank.
  • Ensure the appropriate application of methodology is applied, considering different ways of providing assurance and consistency within portfolios. Including clear communication of assurance outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring Technology audit work is responsive to the changing internal and external landscape.

Role Location: Auckland or Wellington

Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Superior knowledge of the banking industry.
  • Experience and understanding of risk management frameworks and principles, including operational risk and compliance, and delivery risk.
  • Experience in leading concurrent large scale audit projects, for medium to high complexity profile reviews.
  • Experience auditing across complex environments.
  • Technology risk management experience, coupled with significant banking & finance industry knowledge.
  • Experience in risk and control analysis of complex business areas and processes, including experience in designing and delivering effective assurance projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including strong negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills.
