This position is responsible for working on transactions and with sponsors who specialize in the multifamily affordable and mixed-income housing sector. The individual will be tasked to run models for debt and equity transactions, conduct market research and assist with ad hoc asset management responsibilities with the overall debt and equity portfolio. The individual will have an opportunity to work both with underwriters and asset managers as it relates to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Workforce and Mixed-Income housing properties. This individual should have excellent modeling skills and general understanding of the multifamily affordable housing industry.

Essential Funcitions:

  • Support senior commercial real estate debt originators related to overall sourcing and deal screening activities
  • Provide analytic support and loan underwriting screening help with senior commercial mortgage professionals, run financial models and proformas, financial and credit analyses of properties, locations, markets, borrowers and other initial due diligence
  • Perform ongoing market coverage and competitor research
  • Assist with the regular input and updating of the commercial mortgage pipeline
  • Assist with origination and platform related internal projects and data management
  • Some travel may be required

Requirements / Competencies:

  • Minimum two years of commercial real estate debt experience
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate market
  • Ability to multitask among different projects and originators
  • Solutions focused mindset, creative
  • Some experience screening commercial real estate loans
  • Some knowledge of LIHTC preferred but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree

Base: $90,000-$103,000
