Position Summary

The Research Nurse is a pivotal role at MultiCare, responsible for supporting the development and coordination of research activities. In this position you will apply principles of leadership, human relations, and continuous quality improvement to insure the growth and fiscal success of the Research Department.

Responsibilities

  • You will plan, coordinate, evaluate and manage nursing care of participants and data for assigned research projects
  • You will assist in the initiation of clinical trials including training and coordination with the sponsor, MHS departments and staff members involved with the research
  • You will collaborate with the investigator(s), review patients for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medication use, protocol compliance and response

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • PhD in Nursing, DNP, or ARNP preferred
  • Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN)
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in clinical research with knowledge of regulatory requirements, informed consent design, informed consent process and conduct of clinical trials
  • Minimum two (2) years of hospital experience with knowledge of oral and parenteral medication administration systems
  • Prior experience as a research coordinator, GCP training and/or Research
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $109,221.00 - $179,026.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
