The Marketing and Communications Director will develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to drive employee engagement and elevate the Circana brand in India, including as an employer of choice. This position serves as the Communications lead for India, with a direct reporting line to Country Leader, India and with a dotted line report to the SVP, Communications, Global based in the U.S. headquarters in Chicago.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with internal stakeholder groups including Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Technology and others, lead local brand messaging, employee communications, events, public relations, social media, print media, and other content that enhances the Circana brand internally and externally.
  • Develop, implement, and measure the company’s local marketing and communications strategy and plans.
  • Manage all internal communications in India including newsletters, announcements, and the India team’s presence on the company’s global intranet site.
  • Forge and nurture relationships with key internal leadership and teams, as well as external partners and stakeholders such as journalists, influencers, partners, universities, business organizations, and others.
  • Partner with project leaders across the world on customizing messages to the internal Circana team in India.
  • Ensure a uniform message and brand identity across all communication channels while upholding brand integrity and positioning within India and aligning with messaging and content globally.
  • Develop and execute a robust social media strategy for Circana in India, actively engaging online and elevating the Circana brand using multiple communications channels such as print media, email marketing, social media including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Plan and execute local internal and external company events as needed
  • Track and assess the effectiveness of all local communication efforts using key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing updates/reports to leadership.
  • Develop and expand partnerships with social media influencers to increase the company’s brand reach and strength.
  • Work with internal and external partners to create/conduct relevant research, such as competitive analysis and brand tracking, to help identify new opportunities in the market.
  • Assist in creating online, audio, video, and print content.
  • Other related responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field with at least 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in communications, public relations, or related roles, preferably within the market research, business intelligence, technology, or related industry.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and the flexibility to manage shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in managing advertising and other marketing campaigns including via digital, print and social media.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative and strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new ideas
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
