As a Staff Engineer on the Platform and Shared Services team at Shipt, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the systems and services that power Shipt's core systems and Platform Integrations. You will be collaborating with staff, principal engineers and the product team to drive the architecture delivery for the success of business goals. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and follow agile practices.
You will work on a team of about 5 engineers to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain application code using Golang, Postgres, Redis and Kafka in a micro-services architecture. You will work with product and cross-functional teams to address various challenges in supporting core systems, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of applications. Additionally, you will actively participate in design discussions with both your team and other development teams.
Work Arrangement:
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Metro Areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco pay range:
