About the Role

Essity is looking for a talented and self-motivated graduate who has studied mechanical engineering to join our site in Prudhoe in Northumberland, UK. You will be joining our professional converting production team, where you will work closely with experienced colleagues and developing your knowledge and skills.

What You Will Do

  • Play a central role in challenging the status quo, driving change and making a positive impact by delivering concrete results.
  • Learning and providing input on our processes – collecting, compiling, and analyzing production data to identify opportunities to improve production processes – including around energy and waste.
  • Learning to troubleshoot (for example, following root cause analysis methodology)
  • Driving projects (such as focusing on energy and OEE) to support continuous improvements and deliverables.
  • Driving your own continued learning through completion of our industry-specific in-house training modules

Who You Are

A recent qualified graduate as a mechanical engineer (Bachelor or Master degree qualified) who has a compulsive curiosity about how engineering can play its part in delivering for the future. You should be a data driven and a process-improvement enthusiast who can make clear proposals from their own analytical work, demonstrate that you are a successful team player, have a passion to lead others and manage responsibilities given to you.

Work experience is not required, but internships within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
