Department Overview

The Hardware Engineer will work in a cross-functional team, reporting to the Project Manager and supported by the electrical engineer with learning internal tools and procedures.

The group consists of one scrum team for FW development and 3 multidisciplinary teams to develop products.

Each multidisciplinary team is led by a Project Manager and there are mechanical and electronic engineers assigned to it. The teams are assisted by two regulatory compliance managers and every engineer has a technical lead for mentoring, training and support.

The four teams are lead by the R&D Director.

Job Description

We are looking for an electronic engineer taking care of developing boards schematics, PCB place and route and validation testing of the designed products.

Tasks:

  • Design analog and digital electronic boards
  • Perform place and route for the designed boards
  • Validate the design working on testing of the complete prototypes, in laboratories and on the field.
  • Collaborate with testing engineers to implement the testing stations in production
  • Define quality procedures and acceptance criteria for the new boards
  • Collaborate with other FW and HW engineers, to design the full product architecture
  • Contribute to respect the committed project dates and functional specifications of the products
  • Collaborate with the rest of the R&D team in developing new technologies
  • Write the technical documentation for the electrical part of the products

Basic Requirements

  • Required hard skills:
  • B.S. or M.S. in electronic engineering
  • Experience with common laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, testing equipment for EMC pre-compliance
  • CAD: Altium
  • English: to be able to communicate daily with foreign colleague
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with FPGA
  • 32 bits microcontroller
  • ARM SoCs.
  • Experience with wide range switching power supplies design
  • Knowledge of the European Directives for the CE mark and for EMC compliance. Experience with UL is a plus.
