Investopedia is seeking an experienced editor to help ideate, plan, and execute trading and investing editorial packages. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience collaborating with internal sales and marketing teams to create compelling editorial features as sponsorship opportunities. This editor must have considerable experience creating original trading and investing content, and a commitment of up to 40 hours per week to commit to this contract position.

About Your Contributions:

• Ideate and plan new editorial content packages around trading and investing topics
• Edit and publish articles to help readers understand topics such as investing in transformational technology, options trading strategies, and helping financial advisors translate estate planning concepts to their clients
• Develop search-friendly AND advertiser-friendly story ideas and content packages
• Follow Investopedia and Dotdash Meredith's best practices and styles

About You: 

The ideal candidate is an experienced financial journalist with a history of working with well-recognized business and finance media brands. 

• 5 to 7 years of experience editing and publishing trading and investing content
• Experience working with marketing and sales teams to develop content packages that appeal to financial services advertisers
• Strong editorial skills, including demonstrated experience line editing for content improvements, grammar, and AP style
• Experience with SEO best practices
• Deep knowledge of trading and investing topics
• Superior organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Technological savvy required
• In the NYC area
