$2,000 sign-on bonus (terms/taxes apply). 

40 hours a week - candidate would need availability to work between the hours of 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (all 8 hour shifts). Please note that you would also need to be available to cover Saturday clinic (typically only 2x a month). 

Orthopedics - Sports Medicine

The Patient Experience Representative provides support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Actively participates in and contributes to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. Performs various administrative functions requiring in-depth knowledge of programs and services. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

a. Patient Encounter Management:

a. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations.

b. Collaborates with referring providers and practices.

c. Obtains required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.

d. Schedules patients and supports the patient encounter

b. Check-In / Check-Out:

a. Greets and directs patients, families, and visitors.

b. Monitors daily schedule and coordinates flow with clinicians /supervisors.

c. Reconciles payments and prepares deposits, provides record of transactions in Hospital systems

d. Facilitates and directs communication with Financial Counseling.

c. Administrative:

a. Maintains personal calendars for physician/supervisor(s).

b. Schedules meetings, programs, and events.

c. Records and forwards messages, triages calls for urgent information or services, initiates call for emergency services.

d. Provides routine clerical support as needed.

d. Process Improvement:

a. Actively contributes to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement.

b. Assists in implementing change in internal systems and procedures.

Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
