Responsibilities

About the role

The Financial Analyst I - FP&A Cost Analytics position is responsible for data analytics, model development and maintenance related to Activity Based Costing (ABC), and Product/Project Allocations. They will mine data to extract product/project shared services expenses, assist with capturing takt time for various activities (time studies), and assist with merging that data into models as needed to produce all in costs related to products and projects. They will also assist in gathering data related to the benefits of products and projects to integrate into the models to aid in the creation of profit and loss views of products and projects. Other ad hoc analysis will be required as needed.

In this role you will:

  • Analyze financial information, including trends and forecasts
  • Develop, evaluate, and monitor complex models and reporting
  • Create models and analytics to enable P&L views for products and various projects
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for management

Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Ability to develop skillset of financial analysis software (ie, Oracle EPM, Oracle EBS, Cognos)
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial models and tools such as NPV, IRR, etc
  • Maintain working knowledge of data/information sources
  • Ability to develop proficiency with data mining tools such as SAS and SQL
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) or like products
  • Ability to effectively translate knowledge into feasible strategies, policies and processes
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Ability to read and interpret financial documents
  • Utilize historical trends to develop dynamic models
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Proficient in Excel skills (ie, recording and debugging macros, charting, pivot tables)
  • Utilize presentation and business writing skills

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience experience; in Finance, Accounting or similar field required
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in forecasting, cost analytics, and P&L Reporting preferred
